Another Fine Day
Today’s title is stolen from a book written by Christopher Brookmyre, a Scottish mystery author I really enjoy. He can be a bit of a challenge to read at times as he isn’t afraid to write the dialect of his characters in Scots English.
Today was a pretty normal today. I ran out to Burlington to drop off some paperwork for a client and visit some other clients before running back to Kenosha for a meeting about another client of mine. I spent the afternoon eating pizza and chatting with other co-workers. This evening unless the weather gets really bad I’ll be tooling up to Milwaukee to have some drinks with a friend on his birthday.
When Orangutan placed the malicious monocle on his nose he didn’t realize he was being watched. Lemur, a secret agent for the British Crown had seen him and fathomed his malicious plan. After Orangutan and Zebu continued down the jungle track towards the village, Lemur ran off to give his report to the regional Royal Governor. Royal Governor Brigadier General Hedgehog listened to the report and mobilised the guard. Lieutenant Bengal led his unit out the sallyport towards the market square.
The malicious monocle was soon to face conflict.
